It's a challenge to think through my disagreements with the church as it is. Am I arguing my personal preferences over someone else’s? Am I just complaining about what is and what was? Am I offering solutions? Am I adding to the greater cause? Why do I want tomorrow’s church to be different?
Perphaps your tried of seeing the "church" turn into a place that is comfortable and stable. The movement that Christ established was anything but comfortable - Church is not done in a building. Thats why I love the t-shirts for ServeFest that say - "The Church has left the Building"
The thing I like about the quote is it pushes us (young leaders) to be more then just pissed off young adults. It's easy to get mad about what we don't like and to throw an adult version of a temper tantrum. The church of tomorrow needs young leaders who see the areas that need to change, but also see the beauty of our faith heritage and then with respect, wisdom and purpose navigate forward movement; Living what should be and not complaining about what isn't.
